About Me
I am an artist and illustrator currently studying at the University of Kansas, where I am pursuing a degree in Illustration with a minor in Art History. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, my creative journey has been shaped by a love for travel and a curiosity about new environments. These experiences, both personal and artistic, have become an essential source of inspiration for my work.
Drawing has been my primary outlet for creative expression since childhood, and over the years, I’ve explored a variety of mediums to bring my ideas to life. From traditional materials such as charcoal, ink, chalk pastels, and oil paints to newer creative forms like animation, my practice is rooted in a love for hands-on, tactile creation. I am particularly drawn to the fluidity and versatility of mediums like pen and ink wash, colored pencils, watercolor, and acrylic painting. I also hope to expand my skills in traditionally illustrated animation as I continue to grow as an artist.
Beyond art, I am deeply influenced by music, particularly rock and metal, which I’ve been passionate about since I was thirteen. As a self-taught guitarist, I often use music as another form of creative expression, drawing parallels between the dynamics of sound and the visual language of art. Video games, too, have played a formative role in my life, offering a unique blend of narrative, design, and interaction that has influenced my aspirations.
After graduating, I aim to become a concept artist for video games and films, where I hope to combine my artistic skills with my love for storytelling and immersive worlds. My ultimate goal is to bring characters, environments, and narratives to life in ways that resonate with others, just as the games and films I love have done for me.
